Nikon COOLPIX L840 Digital Camera (Purple)

Handling of the long zoom camera is improved with a sturdy grip and multiple tactile controls, including a Snap-Back Zoom button. This feature allows you to quickly zoom out to find your subject and then immediately zoom back in with the release of the button. On the back of the camera you will find a 3.0" 921k-dot tilting LCD monitor which will assist with composition and image review during shooting. The tilting nature of the screen even allows for easily shooting low- and high-angle photographs. 

Full HD 1080p video recording is possible at up to 30 fps with stereo sound via the built-in microphone. This can easily be shared by plugging the camera directly into an HDTV with the use of an optional cable. Other capabilities include ISOs up to 6400 and continuous shooting at up to 7.4 fps. For simple operation and control this camera has a Scene Auto Selector that will analyze the scene and optimizes the settings for each shot. Additionally, the L840 is compatible with Nikon's snapbridge system, enabling quick sharing of your photos by connecting to a mobile device. This system also enables wireless control over your camera through a smartphone or tablet.

The 38x optical zoom provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 22.5-855mm, making this camera suitable for capturing almost any type of scene with ease. This lens benefits from the inclusion of Vibration Reduction for stills and videos, which works to reduce the appearance of camera shake and blur that can become increasingly notable when shooting in low-light conditions or at the telephoto end of the zoom range. Also, a 76x Dynamic Fine Zoom function effectively doubles the focal length of the lens.
